Hello everyone!
It’s been a few days since I’ve had a chance to blog. I’ve been drowned in work for a while and finally I am resurfacing… for a short while before I take a deeper “dive”. As much as I am a Piscean, I need air~ hahaha. Here I am taking a quick break to blog this afternoon (in place of my lunch break).
So, I delivered Phase 1 of my project this morning. It’s totally exciting. I’ve built an amazing database in the scale of something I’ve never thought I could in a crazy short period of time! I pat myself on the back today and have been in a happy mood all day despite my lack of snooze time lately! Enough of my corporate talk… I want to talk about MUSIC! After all, this is a music blog!
So, last Saturday was quite a productive musical day for me. I started the day with my usual Cablab with Lennie Watts and Steven Ray Watkins, followed by more time alone with the two of them to start working on my new show! YES, I HAVE A NEW SHOW IN THE WORKS! I am so excited. It was so much fun going through the songs I have and discussing this new show. I thought I had a name for it but at the end of the session, I was back to square 1 hahaha! Lennie is helping me to regroup on that! I cant wait to come up with a name for my show! It’s kind of funny this time around because as opposed to my last show where I was kind of scattered with regards to what songs to pick, this time around, I had TOO MANY SONGS to pick from and I cant decide which one I love more! It’s going to be quite a competition of songs! I am curious to see which ones will win the race and make it into my show! 🙂
After a wonderful work session with Lennie and Steven, I went to see the show Envoy with my friend Carly Ozard, produced by my BFF Chris Tefft. What a fascinating show! The story line was quite intensely dramatic! If you are free this Sunday, I highly recommend that you catch the closing show!
As my work day is about to draw to an end, once again I find myself in the pensive mood I seem to be in quite often. I thought about how my life has been and although there have been lots of ups and downs, I am very happy overall! I’m healthy, have a roof over my head and I’ve got a great family. Even though my sisters are far away, we have an unconditional love and support for each other and THAT is priceless! I have my music. Then, I have my friends. I have so many wonderful friends in my life that made each and every day special to me! I never feel lonely because I know I always have someone I can turn to! It’s the small things in life that counts! I never fail to remind myself that each and every day. I cherish every one of my moments and strive to make each and every moment “count”! I’ve gotten into the habit of taking the time out every day to create a list (it can be just a mental list) of what I am grateful for having in my life. It never fails to cheer me up and energize me! I recommend that you try it out too! 🙂
Anyway, I need to head back to work some more. I’ll be back again… soon enough! Until then, LIVE at the MOMENT and ENJOY LIFE!
XO
