Wonderously musical weekend!

September 30, 2012
Hi everyone, Happy Sunday! The sun is out today again finally after a couple of cloudy days! How beautiful! I hope all of you are spending some time enjoying the weekend. I've had quite a wonderful musical weekend so far and it is about to continue. What should I start to talk about? Well, let's start with shows... My show sampling process started with Tanya Moberly Sings Barbra Streisand to Jim Speake's Sing Until the Cows Come Home yesterday afternoon. Two very different shows. Tanya's show, directed my very favorite musical director Steven Ray Watkins, is great if you happen to be a fan of Barbra Streisand. You get to hear a lot of Streisand hits Tanya-style :) A lot of old friend and new were there at the show. My friends from the Salon, some great names in the audience including my current vocal coach Eric Michael Gillett, the beauteous Raissa Katona Bennett, Dana Lorge and more. If you haven't seen it and you like the music, you should definitely go see it. I loved Jim's show. I went with a bunch of my boot-camp friends (Maria Moncada, Carly Ozard, Melissa Hecht, Karen Gross, Sallie Hadley, Wendy Russell, John Koprowski and more) Aside from the fact that I happen to love his voice, Jim's show, directed by my ultimate favorite director, Lennie Watts and Steven Ray Watkins, was full of laughs! Sidney Meyers, was a great "special guest" in more ways than one! I am not going to tell you exactly how so since the show is still going on! So funny, all I can say is that Jim surely sang until the cows come home!! LMAO I've taken a couple of pictures which I've sent to Jim and it's up to his discretion when and which ones he chooses to post. :) Seeing Jim's show reminded me that my show is coming right up!!
Seeing Lennie and Steven there reminded me that I am NEXT and I am quite excited to say that I cant wait! I had a great rehearsal session with Steven yesterday afternoon prior to seeing Jim’s show and I’ve finally got 95% of all my music recorded on my MP3 recorder and given that I know all my songs (except for one that is a work in progress) and the running order of the songs, its practice, practice, practice mixed in with some voice tweaking here and there vocally with my vocal lessons with Eric Michael! My next immediate goal is to do a run through end to end with Lennie and Steven. I just LOVE them! How lucky I am to be able to work with the very best!

I hope that all of you will come check out my show! I'm including details below:

Venue: The Duplex Theater RSVP now to ensure best service on the day of the show (the venue staffs the show based on the number of RSVPs! Anyway, that's it for now! Be back later! Have a fantastic Sunday!! XOXO
