A Solemn Day of Remembrances...

September 12, 2012
Hello everyone, As I walked off from the Path Train to my working location in Jersey City for the next few weeks, I remembered that today is 9/11, eleven years since that day that forever left its imprint in my life as well as the lives of so many others.  There was a concert/memorial service happening right by the river on my short walk from the path train station.  The view is gorgeous.  I am attaching a few pictures below.  However, the solemn music brought back memories.... <p style="text-align: center"><a href="http://natashacastillo.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/IMAG0952.jpg"><img class="wp-image-1056 aligncenter" title="IMAG0952" src="http://natashacastillo.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/IMAG0952-169x300.jpg" alt="" width="169" height="300" /></a></p> <p style="text-align: left">  <a href="http://natashacastillo.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/IMAG0953.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-1057 aligncenter" title="IMAG0953" src="http://natashacastillo.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/IMAG0953-169x300.jpg" alt="" width="169" height="300" /></a><a href="http://natashacastillo.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/IMAG0954.jpg"><img class="wp-image-1058 aligncenter" title="IMAG0954" src="http://natashacastillo.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/IMAG0954-169x300.jpg" alt="" width="169" height="300" /></a></p> <p style="text-align: left">September 11, 2001, it was my first day back from a one week visit to San Diego.   I was living at the time in Fairview, New Jersey with my baby sister Sheron and if and when I could make it, I would catch a ride with my uncles to the path train station to get into the city.    Normally I would catch the bus that leaves later because my uncles leave for work at 7:40 am, which is a bit early for me.   However, since that day was my first day back to work, I decided to have an early start.  Little did I know that starting my day early could very well have saved my life...</p>  To be continued...
