Good afternoon everyone!
How's your week going? We are at the mid-week hump so not more to go! :-)
As far as I am concerned, I've been quite the busy bee lately between work and getting ready for my upcoming show.
I am in the process of learning a bunch of new songs for my upcoming show and loving the process of doing so. It's like trying a cuisine, except better since you have a preview of what you are getting into. I received my delivery of the postcards and posters for my show yesterday. It was a great moment to go home from a fantastic evening with friends to get that reminder of my upcoming show. I couldn't help but wonder... how did I survived for so long being away from performing? Well, that will NEVER happen again. It's like the air I breathe.
It took me years but I finally came to some motto's to live by. I wanted to share them with you as much as they may seem cliche:
- Always look for the positive within you and around you.
- Always seek to learn. When you are learning, you are growing. The moment when you think that you have nothing left to learn (which is an impossibility as far as I am concerned), that's when you start aging.
- Never take things, people, circumstances and what you have for granted. Take the time to appreciate them every day and it will cheer you up. SERIOUSLY!
- Be assertive. In the time that you are being indecisive, trying to make a decision, you are losing the one most valuable commodity there is... time. Take a piece of paper, jot down the pros and the cons and just DO it!
In summary....live your life such that if today is your last day, you can honestly say to yourself that you have no regrets.
Be back later~
