Hello Everyone!
It’s been such a long time since I’ve had the chance to sit down and write. I can barely remember the last time I’ve blogged. (Sorry to all my blog followers. I promise to get more on top of my business of sharing! 🙂
So, I’ve had quite a crazy few weeks beginning with taking on a new role at my company, Cab lab show, trip to South Beach followed by the Arrangement Experience Boot camp with the amazing dream team of directors Lennie Watts and Steven Ray Watkins. I’ve had quite a fantastic weekend this week but let me save that for my post this afternoon. In the meantime, let me talk a little bit more about what I’ve mentioned so far:
For those of you who don’t know, I have a day job at the Fed dealing with Project Management/finance/programming and Basel II. Well, I took on a new role starting technically tomorrow as a Supervisory Infrastructure Manager for a Function (I had to think about it before writing because it’s quite a mouth full lol..). I cant really go into much detail about what I do since I believe that is confidential information.
Next, moving on to the fun stuff, my music! Well on June 4, I had my Cab Lab showcase at the Duplex Directed by Lennie, Musical Direction by Steven. I’ve lost count of how many I’ve done to date but I am very happy to report that it was the best showcase to date! I felt it in my guts! So happy. Maybe I will upload some footage when I get around to it. 🙂 It was quite draining so what did I do? Well, it was perfect timing because I had a trip to South beach planned. 3 days of totally relaxation to recharge…. JUST TO GET READY FOR the ARRANGEMENT EXPERIENCE BOOT CAMP!! Man… I sure needed those recharge days because it was quite an intense boot camp! Lennie and Steven are once again the magicians. I don’t know how they do it! SERIOUSLY!! 34 arrangements in 4 and a half days with 14 people! How do they do that!!!???? So AMAZING! The patience, the mind! The showcases were a blast! Although we could probably use a few more days to prep, during the performances each and every one of us had fun and learned soooooo much! I’ll do it again next year!! 🙂
Anyway, I’ve arrived here at work so I shall take off for now. BUT, before I leave, I want to leave you all a beauty trick to play with… Summer is hot and a lot of my friends complained about pimples/acne on their body from sweating. Fortunately I don’t have that problem BUT I do have a solution. All of the ingredients are readily available:
Sage will soothe your irritated skin while also soaking up the excess oil that may be causing your pores to clog.
What you need to do is add 2 tablespoons of fresh sage leaves (you can find at supermarkets) and a ½ cup of oatmeal in a piece of cheesecloth. Sage soothes irritated skin as it soaks up the excess oil that could be the culprit to clogging your pores. Tie the cloth closed and hang it under the faucet of your bath. Allow the water to run over the cheesecloth while filling the tub with warm water. After soaking for a few minutes take the cheesecloth off and rub it where you have blemishes.
Until later! Have a fantastic Monday AM!
xoxo
