Good morning everyone!
It’s been a long time since I’ve blogged. Life got in the way. Work, music and the works. I’ve discovered myself to be quite the busy woman lately. I wanted to st down and write a bit about my self assessment for 2012 and talk a little about resolutions for the 2013. However, that will have to come later my friends. I’ve got to kick start my day first with some java and get ready for work.
BUT, I wanted to just briefly discuss a fun musical evening I’ve had last night with a whole bunch of my friends. We went to my favorite BBQ joint in Chelsea and sang with a live band while some enjoyed delicious food and drinks. How FUN is that? My performance was recorded and I will post it shortly to share with you. I’ve never perform the song “Time After Time” by Cindy Lauper before and to my surprise, the band (whom I’ve sang with multiple times) told me that it was the best they’ve ever heard me. How amazing is that? First try! What a compliment for me! It certainly made my night!
Anyway, with the flu bug going around, I wanted to give you all a wonderful tip to stay healthy in this cold weather! If you happen to feel the “chill” and feel like you are coming down with something, the first thing you should do is buy some fresh ginger, boil it in hot water until the water turns yellow and drink it as hot as you can take it. If you dont like the taste of it, add some dark brown sugar. It will warm you up instantly and boost your immune system! Trust me, it has worked every time for me so far when I’ve tried it.
