Good afternoon everyone and Happy Friday!
It’s exactly one week away to my show and I got to say I am very excited. I am dotting all my “i’s” and crossing all my “t’s”. It has been a wonderful experience working with my director Lennie Watts and Musical Director Steven Ray Watkins. They have become like family! I am so fortunate to have found them. I am looking forward to entertaining you all with a story that is “Anything But Ordinary”!
I’ve got quite a packed weekend coming up fill with rehearsal and playing catch up with life. Sometimes I do get a bit overwhelmed by how busy I’ve become. Yet at the end of the day, I say to myself, if anything, I am DEFINITELY living a fulfilling life, finally a life for myself and nobody else. If you have not been doing so, I highly recommend that you give it a try!
Well today I offer you a recipe to make a home made sugar scrub! The process takes less than 10 minutes and you will end up with baby soft skin, like me 🙂
- For this sugar is gentler on the skin than salt. Just make sure to choose a sugar with small granules that won’t tear at your skin. Regular sugar works wonderfully. If you have skin that is extra sensitive, you might opt for a dark brown sugar.
- Choose an oil. You can use any oils such as organic extra virgin coconut oil , almond oil, safflower, vegetable.. you get the picture…
- You want 1 part oil to 2 parts of sugar. Use anywhere from a few tablespoons to a cup of sugar in a container. Put half that amount of oil and mix with a spoon.
- If you want your scrub to smell amazing, put a few drops of an essential oil into your mixture and mix with spoon.
Enjoy!
